Why Virtual Wedding Favors are Worth Sending to Your Guests
2020 Wedding planning in a nutshell
2020 has been rough. The uncertainty in wedding planning is a nightmare, from state mandates, venue limitations, re-reading contracts, worrying about the health and safety of guests its overwhelming. Many brides, including me chose to have a small ceremony and bring most of my in-person guests on virtually. The benefits were clear: safety for guests, minimal travel required and max participation in our special day. I wanted to make the virtual experience special and decided to send everyone a box full of goodies. It was a huge hit with all the guests and here are 4 reasons you should consider it to.
1. Reminds people about your wedding.
If you made your wedding either partially virtual or fully virtual chances are you are worried people might forget to tune in. Usually people must plan different types of travel and outfits to attend a wedding. With all this taking place from their home there is less planning involved for your virtual guests. A physical package arriving at their door will create better mental notes to tune into your wedding!
2. Not just another Zoom call
These gift boxes sent to your guests do not only have a favor in them for your guests. We call them celebration boxes for a reason! More than 75% of the items in our boxes are for guests to enjoy during the virtual event! Each box contains confetti, sizzle sticks to stir special aromatic sugar cubes with bitters into cocktails or mocktails, champagne gummy bears and photo booth props! We recommend you include a toast and for your guests to take photos with all the fun things from their boxes!
3. Makes your wedding a special experience
You probably anguished over making your wedding smaller to comply with COVID-19 restrictions. Sending a gift to your guests shows that their attendance at your event was important. Even if you cannot feed them amazing food and have them dance the night away, their participation in your day is what matters! While it is not the same experience it will make event special!
4. Encourages participation during the virtual event
Our boxes are designed to get people thinking outside the box (literally!). They should break out their fancy champagne glasses to make a cocktail, put on a special outfit, make silly poses with the

4. Encourages participation during the virtual event
Our boxes are designed to get people thinking outside the box (literally!). They should break out their fancy champagne glasses to make a cocktail, put on a special outfit, make silly poses with the photo booth props, or toss some confetti. One of our favorite parts is the BINGO cards, full of typical wedding ceremony phrases like "best friend, love of my life" etc. We create BINGO cards for your guests to play during your event, it makes it fun and engaging for everyone. At Brom + Joy we know how to get the party started, even if the guests are scattered around the globe.

5. You can re-evaluate your guest list
Virtual means accessible! When we announced our virtual wedding, we had people literally inviting themselves! I felt awkward about it, thinking everyone would feel obligated to purchase a gift. At the end of the day it was soo worth sharing our virtual event link with people not on our original guest list. I made it clear they did not need to send a gift (about half did). If you had a strict guest limit or budget or maybe your parents had a list of friends you did not have room for at your venue, inviting them virtually is a great option!
Hope this helps, and happy planning!
xx, Mer
